New Year's Concert From Vienna 2008

Legendary conductor Georges Prêtre, best known for his opera collaborations with Maria Callas and affinity for French music, takes a deep bow to the King of Three Quarter Time as he ascends the Vienna Philharmonic podium for From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 2008.  The sparkling program of Strauss waltzes and polkas marks the Frenchman's New Year's debut with the orchestra, as well as the 24th turn of Walter Cronkite as host.
